Army says only 22 of 76 killed during Gen Z movement were protesters

According to NA, among the total deaths, 22 died are classified as protestors, three police personnel, ten prisoners, while 41 individuals have been categorized as “others.”

KATHMANDU, Oct 17: The Nepali Army has stated that only 22 out of the 76 people killed during the Gen Z movement were protesters.



The data was made public at a press conference organized by the Army on Friday.

According to the report, among the total deaths, three were police personnel, ten were prisoners, while 41 individuals have been categorized as “others.”


The Army said protests had erupted in 484 locations across the country. During the unrest, 688 government offices, 259 private houses, 128 business establishments, 198 political party offices, and 307 police stations were vandalized or set on fire.
