KATHMANDU, Dec 24: Amrit Thapa Magar, Arahanta Keshar Singh and Pravin Bir Singh Kanshakar on Thursday secured the men's singles semifinal berth in the Third Civil Bank Open Squash Championship being held at Satdobato, Lalitpur.
Amrit recorded 8-11, 11-9, 11-9, 11-4 win against Suroj Shrestha, Arahanta beat Naina Magar by 11-9, 11-2, 11-6 and Pravin defeated Sujon Juwarchan 11-6, 7-11, 11-3, 11-6 to sail into the last four.

In women's singles, Bhawana Sunuwar, Sapana Blon, Krishna Thapa and Bipana Blon secured semifinal places. Similarly, Bijay Magar, Amir Blon, Deepak Thapa and Bikram Magar have advanced to boys' U-17 singles semifinals.
In veteran section, Prem Singh Basnet, Lal Bahadur Gurung, Kishor Maharjan and Kulesh Thapa made it to the last four. The championship will also serve as the pre-selection for the 12th South Asian Games to be held in India next year.
