kATHMANDU, May 30: Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has said the government has adopted a one-door policy in relief supply to the earthquake-hit districts so as to ensure equal distribution of relief goods and assistance to the disaster survivors.

During a meeting with a delegation of sports journalists who reached the Prime Minister's official residence at Baluwatar Saturday to extend an invitation to him to participate in a friendly football match, he said the one-door policy in relief supply was meant for preventing unbalanced allocation of relief materials.

There is possibility that areas having an access to transport facility may be flooded with relief supply while people of remote areas may always remain empty-handed in the absence of a one-door channel, he said.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Koirala was invited to attend the friendly soccer match to be held between the cine artistes and leaders of political parties. The event is scheduled to be held on June 6 in the capital city.

The proceeds of the match being organized by Naya Patrika Daily will be used to purchase relief materials for the earthquake survivors. RSS
