Also having entertained listeners for years as an RJ, this musician is currently busy working for his upcoming album 'Shilanyas' "which will be released soon". He likes to call himself an 'open book', but here he shares five things about him that many people don't really know.He is scared of dogs
Although he owns a pug, he is petrified by dogs other than his own. Not that he has ever been bitten, but he has been chased by one. Ever since then, he's never had good terms with the canine kind. "Whenever I go to someone else's house, I first ask whether they have a dog. And if the answer is 'yes', I ask them to keep it away from me. More often than not, if I see a stray dog on the street, I step towards to the other side of the pavement just to avoid it," he shares.
He is acrophobic
Besides dogs, what scares this singer is height. Travelling by plane is always a frightening experience for him, but since one cannot always avoid flights, he must comply. "To takle my phobia, I have also tried sky diving; scary as it was, it did help me feel braver for a while. But soon, the terror would be back," he shared. Would he like to try bungee jumping? "Never!" was his abrupt reply.
He doesn't like cinema halls
Sugam rarely goes to movie theaters. "I don't like watching movies with other people. I like to watch it in my own comfort zone; cry when I feel like it and laugh rolling on the floor during funny moments," he shares. A singer with a good number of fan following, he, however, loves solitude, and doesn't like crowd.
He isn't fond of travelling
Although he has had plenty of travelling experience, he hates travelling. With his hometown in Biratnagar and school/college in Kathmandu, he's had to travel to and fro the Capital quite a lot of times. And the experience was "tiring and exhausting". So ever since then, travelling doesn't excite him much. "It's even worse if the travel involves walking. If I can travel without walking, it's at least bearable," he says.
He is a voracious reader
He loves reading—mostly Nepali and Hindi books. "I love reading books of all kinds—history, religion, biography, fiction...anything. If I find books boring, I don't bother completing it either. Since I 'm not much of a traveller or a party guy, I mostly enjoy reading in my solitude," he shares. Currently he is reading Pushkar Shah's 'Sansarlai Sadhe Panch Phanko' simultaneously with 'Muluk Bahira' by Lain Singh Bangdel.
