KATHMANDU, April 4: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates applicable for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is set at Rs 136.40, while the selling rate stands at Rs 137, marking a decrease. On Thursday, the US dollar was bought at Rs 136.50, while the selling rate was Rs 137.10.
The buying rate for one euro is Rs 150.82, with the selling rate at Rs 151.48. Similarly, the British pound sterling is being bought at Rs 179.45 and sold at Rs 180.24. The Swiss Franc has a buying rate of Rs 158.13 and a selling rate of Rs 158.82.
The Australian dollar is being exchanged at Rs 86.50 for buying and Rs 86.89 for selling. The Canadian dollar's buying rate is Rs 96.44 and selling rate is Rs 96.86. Likewise, the Singapore dollar stands at Rs 102.08 for buying and Rs 102.53 for selling.
For 10 Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs 9.31 and the selling rate is Rs 9.35. The Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 18.69 and sold at Rs 18.77. The Saudi Arabian riyal is exchanged at Rs 36.36 for buying and Rs 36.52 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is at Rs 37.42 and Rs 37.58, respectively.
According to the central bank, the Thai baht is valued at Rs 3.97 for buying and Rs 3.99 for selling. The UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 37.13 and a selling rate of Rs 37.30. The Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 30.71 for buying and Rs 30.84 for selling. One hundred South Korean won is being exchanged at Rs 9.37 for buying and Rs 9.41 for selling. The Swedish kroner is fixed at Rs 14.07 for buying and Rs 14.14 for selling, while the Danish kroner is valued at Rs 20.21 and Rs 20.30, respectively.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also set the buying rate for the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 17.54 and the selling rate at Rs 17.61. The Kuwaiti dinar has a buying rate of Rs 443.38 and selling rate of Rs 445.33. The Bahraini dinar is being bought at Rs 361.83 and sold at Rs 363.42. The buying and selling rates for the Omani riyal are Rs 354.32 and Rs 355.88, respectively.
The exchange rate for INR 100 is fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
The central bank noted that these rates are subject to change at any time based on necessity. It also mentioned that the exchange rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on the official website of Nepal Rastra Bank.
