KATHMANDU, Jan 18: A taskforce of major three political parties and United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) is slated to hold meeting on Monday.

The meet will make another attempt to forge consensus over the demarcation row.

Front leader Ram Naresh Raya told Republica that the meeting of the taskforce scheduled for 6 pm this evening will formalize if any agreement is forged.

“On Sunday,  taskforce had decided to sit at 3 pm today,” he said, “The meet was rescheduled after taskforce of major parties sought time to discuss with top leaders.”

Major parties will hold meeting after UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal returns from Dhangadhi at 4 pm.

On Sunday, the taskforce members agreed to incorporate the decisions to be made by the proposed high-level political mechanism in the new constitution.

Following the understanding between the two sides to form the political mechanism to suggest solutions to resolve disputes on provincial boundaries, the leaders also agreed to the agitating Madhesi parties' demand for legal validity of the mechanism's decisions.
