Maoist cadre attacked with gunshots

SIRAHA, Nov 11: Unidentified assailants have opened fire on a UCPN (Moiast) cadre near Mirchaiya police office, here in the district, on Sunday.



According to Siraha police chief Bikram Gurung, Shrawan Yadav was attacked on the Mirchaiya-Jiwa road section. Three rounds of bullets were fired at Yadav. He however escaped unhurt.



Police have detained a youth and seized two home-made pistols from the incident site. No further details have been revealed. Police are searching for the culprits. An investigation into the case is underway.
