KATHMANDU, Nov 15: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Ishwar Karki has been recommended for promotion to the vacant post of Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police.
A meeting of the Promotion Recommendation Committee under the Ministry of Home Affairs held on Friday proposed DIG Karki—who ranked first on the list—for promotion to AIG.
The AIG position became vacant after the government appointed Dan Bahadur Karki, who also serves as Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, as Inspector General of Police (IGP).
