Organized on every first Sunday of English month, the talk show aims to raise various underlying issues of Nepal's ICT sector, according to officials of CAN Federation.The theme of the first talk show was 'e-Commerce Ecosystem in Nepal'. Stakeholders of Nepali ICT industry held discussions on e-commerce status of Nepal, according to a press release issued by CAN Federation. Participants of the interaction aired their views on development of e-commerce in Nepal, and its opportunities, challenges and potentials. They also made an analysis of e-commerce in Nepal compared to the global market.
Speaking at the program, Amrit Tuladhar, founder and CEO of muncha.com, said ICT companies should have to be credible and trustworthy for the overall growth of the e-commerce sector. "We need to gain customers' trust. Only then we can see our business grow," said Tuladhar.
Similarly, Manohar Adhikari, CEO of foodmandu.com, said there is a need to make people aware about the benefits of buying stuffs online. "The most important thing to be considered for the growth of e-commerce in Nepal is making people aware that e-commerce sites are credible and trustworthy," said Adhikari.
Hempal Shrestha, moderator of the interaction, said that the talk show will not only help raise underlying issues in Nepali ICT sector but also find solutions so that the sector can prosper.
Similarly, Suresh Kumar Karna, IT chief of Nepal Bank Ltd said that e-commerce will flourish in Nepal if companies focus on improving service quality.
