32 tourists rescued from Manaslu

GORKHA, March 29: The local administration has rescued 32 tourists from Manaslu trekking route in the last three days. The tourists who trekked to the popular destination were stranded due to lockdown imposed in the country over the risk of novel coronavirus. According to Harka Rokka, an official at the district administration office, the tourists were rescued from Wednesday to Saturday and some of them have already been sent off to Kathmandu.

DHANGADHI, March 29: The novel coronavirus infected man from Dhangadi who is undergoing treatment at Seti Regional Hospital has been found to have met dozens of people after coming to Nepal from Dubai. Talking to Republica, he said that a friend from Biratnagar was in the same Delhi – Kathmandu flight on 20 March. KATHMANDU, March 29: A total of 600 foreign nationals including Germans and citizens of other European Union (EU) nations stranded in Nepal as a result of the government's decision to enforce nation-wide lockdown to contain the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) were flown back to their home countries at the initiative of the German Embassy in Kathmandu.
