KATHMANDU, May 12: Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) Chairman Upendra Yadav has once again defended his party's decision to take part in the local polls stating that the move was necessary to safeguard the historic achievements and lead the country toward peace and prosperity. KATHMANDU, May 12: The Rastriya Janata Party has reached at Election Commission for the registration of the party in view of the election.

KATHMANDU, May 11: The Election Commission (EC) has finalized polling locations and polling centers for the upcoming Local Level Elections. In the first phase of the election on May 14, there will be a total of 6918 polling centers in 34 districts of Provinces 3, 4 and 6.

PALPA, May 12: Ward candidate of Nepali Congress Tansen Municipality- 4 Rajendra Shrestha has passed away.  Shrestha, who was also the vice chairman of Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, died of cardiac arrest on Friday.
