Govt doles out Rs 150 m in violation of election code of conduct

KATHMANDU, May 12: In what we call a sheer violation of the election code of conduct, the government has decided to dole out Rs 150 million in compensation of Tikapur incident.

With two days to go before the local level elections, a cabinet meeting deiced to allocate Rs 150 in compensation for the houses, shops and Industries burnt down on August 24 and 25, 2015, said Minister for Land Reform and Management Gopal Dahit.

Fulbari Resort, Fulbari FM, Niru Traders P., Ltd., Mira Furniture, Office of Tharu Kalyankari Sabha had suffered arson attack in the incident.

Fulbari Resort and Fulbari FM belong to Reshan Chaudhari who was on the run after Tikapur incident.
