KATHMANDU, May 13: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharman Oli has accused the government of voilating the election code of conduct.

Speaking at a press meet organized at the central party headquarters in Dhumbarahi on Saturday, Oli said that the government has breached the election code of conduct by distributing the amount of money and misusing the state facilities.

He urged the Election Commission to stop such activities right away. He also strongly objected to the recent attacks carried out, targeting the UML cadres.

Such anti-poll activities will disrupt the the atmosphere to conduct local level elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner which will be fatal to the democracy, said Oli.

Objecting to the government decision to increase the local units in 11 districts, Oli urged the government not to be so irresponsible, insensitive and biased.
