A group of youths staged a demonstration in Kathmandu, demanding justice to 12-year-old Samjhana Kami from Bajhang district in Far-western Nepal. She was raped and murdered a few days ago. In the protest organized by the United Dalit Youths Struggle Committe at Maitighar on Saturday afternoon, the participants demanded stringent punishment against the rapists. The participants carried placards that read “Hang the rapists to death”, “Ensure rule of law”, “Justice for Samjhana”, and “Love me, but not rape” in a bid to exert pressure on the government to launch a thorough investigation into the case and take stringent action against the culprits.
