Jane Deepika Garrett reaches top 20 at Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua wins the title

KATHMANDU, Nov 19: Jane Deepika Garrett, who represented Nepal in Miss Universe 2023, reached the top 20 in the 72nd Miss Universe competition held at El Salvador.

Garrett, who has garnered attention even in the international media as a 'plus size model', made waves to advocate for body positivity, expressed her mission to represent all women of all shapes and sizes.

Sheynnis Palacios, 23, a television host by profession and graduate in Mass Communication from Nicaragua was crowned as Miss Universe 2023.

Nicaragua celebrated its first-ever Miss Universe victory as Palacios triumphed over 84 contestants in the competition held in El Salvador.
