KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Police have arrested four individuals on the charge of submitting fake educational certificates for the purpose of obtaining Electronic Diversity Visa (DV) at the US Embassy in Nepal.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Goma Pandey, 32, hailing from Mahalaxmi Municipality-8, temporarily residing in Imadol, Mahalaxmi -4; Anil Kumar Mahato, 28, hailing from Lalbandi Municipality-10, Sarlahi, temporarily residing in Mahalaxmi Municipality-5, Lalitpur; Gopal Prasad Ghimire, 50, hailing from Arjun Municipality-8, Jhapa, temporarily residing in Imadol, Lalitpur and Subash Dhakal, 43, hailing from Khandbari Municipality-9, Sankhuwasabha, temporarily residing in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-5, Bhaktapur.

Police personnel deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested the suspects from near the embassy in coordination with the US Embassy. Police arrested them based on the information that fake educational certificates of SEE and Proficiency Certificate Level, fake academic transcripts were made and submitted for the purpose of the DV.
The arrested individuals have been sent to the District Police Range at Bhadrakali, Kathmandu for the necessary action.
