The Central Committee meeting held at the residence of party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal in Lajimpat, discussed on selection of candidates and writing of manifesto and will finalize it in a few days, said Spokesman Agni Prasad Sapkota.[break]
The party had directed to the district committees to recommend five names in first-past-the-post and five in proportional system. Convenor Posta Bahadur Bogati directed to the district committees and state committees to reduce some names saying the names were too many.
The party had received some 2500 names, and 240 in direct and 335 in proportional have to be selected.
The meeting also discussed the works of the Manifesto Draft Committee headed by senior party leader Baburam Bhattarai.
