KATHMANDU, Oct 30: The left alliance on Monday set to finalize their common candidates in all constituencies. The CPN (UML) and the CPN (Maoist center) took a decision on Sunday to finalize the candidates for the second phase of federal and provincial elections by Monday.
A meeting of the party merger coordination committee failed to finalize the candidates in all constituencies on Sunday. Maoist Center spoke person Pampha Bhusal shared that they failed to finalize on Sunday for being the last date for submitting the revised closed lists for federal and provincial elections under the proportional system.
Left Alliance lead in three constituencies at Dang
Alliance finalized the names of common candidates in most of the districts and remaining constituencies of some districts will also be finalized today, spoke person Bhusal added. The election is holding on November 26 for the first phase in 37 constituencies of 32 districts and remaining 128 constituencies of 45 districts to be held on December 7.
