KATHMANDU, June 30: Trinity ´B´ and Trinity ´C´ teams secured semifinal berths in the boys´ category of the First Nobel Cup U-19 National 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Wednesday.
Trinity ´B´ struggled to beat Nobel Academy 32-29 at the National Sports Council Covered Hall. Meanwhile, Trinity ´C´ defeated Unique 33-25 in the quarterfinal. [break]
Likewise, Morgan thrashed VS Niketan ´A´ 33-20 and entered the semifinals. However, VS Niketan ´B´ pulled off a 33-25 victory over Xavier International to enter the last four.
In the girls´ category, Whitehouse (Khumaltar), Whitehouse (Baneshwar), NASA ´A´ and Morgan advanced into the semifinals.
Whitehouse (Khumaltar) beat New Summit 31-15 in the quarterfinal while Whitehouse (Baneshwar) defeated Naggers 29-25. Likewise, NASA ´A´ eased past Xavier International 33-26 to enter the semis while Morgan thrashed Nasibi 28-20.
