According to the Regional Traffic Police Office, Butwal, the accident occurred when the Kathmandu-bound bus from Bhairahawa (Lu 1 Kha 4337) collided with the parked truck (Na 4 Kha 2041).
Police identified the deceased as Hari Ram Sapkota (60) of Kathmandu and another youth in his early 30s. Among the 27 injured, condition of four is said to be serious and they were sent to Kathmandu for treatment.
