PYUTHAN, Feb. 9: Two persons died at Syauliwang Kharkhola in Naubahini Rural Municipality-1 in Pyuthan district. Three other persons were hurt while many other livestock succumbed after being struck from the lightning occurred at around 10:00 pm on Friday, police said.
Army man Manoj Gurung, 23, and Naumati Gharti, 27, died in the fatal incident. Army man Gurung was on a weeklong home leave.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Pyuthan Nirmal Budhathoki said that seven-year-old Teji Pun, 60-year-old Bom Bahadur Gharti and Rudra Pun, 62, were injured following the lightning incident.
