TMDP expands CC

KATHMANDU:Mahantha Thakur-led Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) has expanded its 56-member committee to form a 99-member body. “The party central committee now has 99 members,” reads the press statement issued by the party. Former lawmaker BP Yadav has also become a CC member.



He had lost his CA membership as per Section 33 of Corruption Prevention Act, 2002 after the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) charging him with corruption filed a case against him at the Special Court on May 11, 2011. [break]



Yadav was arrested on April 19, 2011 on the charge of misusing his diplomatic passport.
