Tempo displaces rickshaw in Biratnagar

BIRATNAGAR, Sept. 23: Rickshaw business is being displaced from today after the operation of tempos in various areas of Biratnagar Sub-Metropolis. Fifteen new tempos began to run in the Sub-Metropolis from today.



The tempos are running from Bakhari- Katahari, Jamungachhi Chok, Bakhari to Puspalal Chok, and Keshliya Road.



Some 8,000 rickshaw operators are expected to be displaced from it. There were public complaints that rickshaw pullers charged fares willfully. Earlier, tempos were running from Roadshes Chowk to Tankisinawari, Nobel Medical College and Pushpalal Chowk.
