URLABARI (Morang), May 22: An elderly citizen died in an auto-tempo crash on Monday evening at an inner road section in Madhumalla and Toribari of Miklajung rural municipality – 8.
Three others were injured in the accident. The auto – tempo (Ko 1 Ha 8681) lost control over high speed and overturned killing 70 – year – old Harka Bahadur Bohara of Chulachuli rural municipality – 6.
Bohara, who sustained serious injuries, died in course of treatment at the Araniko Hospital in Urlabari. His wife, Kamala Bohara, 58, also sustained injuries in the accident and is being treated at the same hospital.
Two other passengers, Purnima Tamang, 22, and Subhadra Karki, 80, of Miklajung – 9 are undergoing treatment at Sajha Hospital, according to Area Police Office, Madhumalla's Sub Inspector Kiran Prasai. Police have detained the tempo driver and impounded the vehicle.
