Yadav argued that an environment for talks can be created if the ruling parties express commitment to fulfill past agreement and stop 'police excesses' against the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) cadres."The government side has not been serious yet. The eight-point agreement reached in the past has to be fulfilled. Talks are possible if army is withdrawn [from riot zones]"," Yadav said.
Addressing a mass rally organized by the party in Duhabi, Chairman Yadav argued that the federal provinces should be redrawn as the top leaders of three major parties have carved federal provinces to suit their interests. "The constitution promulgated now has been brought to only hoodwink the marginalized communities. The present constitution has treated Madhesis as if they are like non-citizens"," he claimed.
Arguing that their protests will continue until rights of the Madhesis are ensured, Yadav also said that their obstructions at the customs points and highways will continue until the demands are fulfilled.
