DSC-TX1 has been priced at Rs 38,999 while DSC-WX1 is offered at Rs 35,499. Nepa Hima is also offering a 4 GB memory card free with each camera, Murari Gautam, Deputy Director of Sales and marketing at Nepa Hima, said during the launch on Friday.
Explaining the new modes, Nepa Hima Director of Operations Ramesh Bista said the Handheld Twilight mode allows shooting clear pictures of not so well light subject without a tripod or flash while the Sweep Panorama allows users to shoot a panoramic photo by making a sweeping movement across a landscape. The Twilight mode works by taking pictures at high ISOs and reduces the noise associated with high ISO by taking a burst of six shots and superimposing them together. The Sweep Panorama stitches the number of shots taken during the sweeping movement.
The cameras also have a burst shooting mode for subjects at high speed. The camera has three modes in the burst shooting and shoots 10 frames per second at ´high´. They also have optical steady shot image stabilizers and other features like intelligent auto, intelligent scene recognition, smile and face detection, motion detection, easy shooting mode, anti-motion blur mode, intelligent auto focus and other modes and features.
Party-shot: Photographer-less shooting

The Party-shot dock is now also available in Nepal. The dock allows people to use compatible Sony cameras to take pictures without designating someone to actually hold the camera and point and shoot it. The dock uses the camera´s Face Detection and Smile Detection modes to decide on the subject. The dock moves the camera, pans it, tilts and also zooms and decides the appropriate exposure. The two cameras launched on Friday are compatible with the dock.
