Sirish set new national record in men's 1,500m freestyle in open section clocking 18 minutes and 45.62 seconds. Sirish surpassed his own previous record of 19 minutes and 05.25 seconds that he had set during the Ninth Asian Championship held in Dubai in 2012.
Army men Devendra Manandhar (21 minutes and 47.67 seconds) and Rudra Katuwal (22 minutes and 31.44 seconds) bagged silver and bronze medals respectively in the sections.
Similarly, Sirish bagged men's 100m butterfly (open) clocking 01 minute and 09.87 seconds. Jayant Gurung (01 minute and 13.53 seconds) of Central Region and Tej Bahadur Majhi (01 minute and 13.53 seconds) of Army jointly finished runner-up.
Sirish claimed men's 200m butterfly in open section with the timing of 02 minutes and 46.58 seconds, Army's Kiran Karki won silver medal clocking 02 minutes and 49.97 seconds and Shuvam Shrestha of Western region claimed bronze medal as he clocked 02 minutes and 57.74 seconds.
Sirish bagged fourth gold of the day in men's 200m freestyle (open) with the timing of 02 minutes and 21.13 seconds. Army men Devesh Manandhar (02 minutes and 23.34 seconds) and Aviranjan Shahi (02 minutes and 31.19 seconds) finished with silver and bronze medals respectively.
Sirish of departmental team Army clocked 30.25 seconds to claim men's 50m butterfly (open) gold. Jayant Gurung (30.67 seconds) and Bhism Baduwal (31.17 seconds) respectively came second and third.
Sirish was also member of the Army team that won men's 4X100m relay. Shirish, Aviranjan, Devesh and Prahlad Rana Magar finished the event in 04 minutes and 17 seconds.
Meanwhile, Rashika Paudyal of Central bagged women's 200m backstroke (open) as she clocked 03.23.93 seconds. Central's Jitzwelly Maharjan (03 minutes and 31.95 seconds) and Ashma Tamang (04 minutes and 03.75 minutes) of Eastern came second and third.
Likewise, Army's Sofia Shah (01 minutes and 04.22 seconds) of Army claimed women's 100m freestyle (open) gold, Sonira Bista (40.50 seconds) bagged women's 50m breaststroke (open) gold, while Oshina Bharati (39.47 seconds) picked up women's 50m backstroke gold medal.
