KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Supreme Court has decided to review the corruption case against Shila Sharma Khadka, the wife of Nepali Congress leader Khum Bahadur Khadka, who was convicted of corruption.
Responding to a review petition filed by Shila, a single bench of Justice Govinda Kumar Upadhyaya on Sunday decided that the case would be reviewed.

Although the apex court had earlier turned down the request to review the case of her husband, it has now agreed to hear the case related to the properties registered on the name of his wife.
The apex court on August 14, 2013 had convicted Khadka on the charge of corruption for amassing disproportionate amount of property, which included some properties registered on Sharma's name. Khadka has already served a jail term of one and half years and is out of jail at present.
The Wednesday's order means the apex court would review the previous verdict concerning only the properties found on Shila's name.
