SC submits annual report to prez

KATHMANDU Feb 17: The Supreme Court (SC) on Sunday submitted its annual report to the president. Chief Justice Khil Raj Regmi along with SC officials handed over the report to President Ram Baran Yadav at the latter´s office in Shital Niwas.



According to SC Spokesperson Shrikant Poudel, the apex court, appellate courts and district courts have taken decision on 86,858 cases while 64, 446 cases are sub-judice. Similarly, there are 1,900 two-year old cases at the apex court, appellate courts and district courts. Poudel said that the report also incorporates issues such as challenges facing the courts.
