KATHMANDU, March 23: Supreme Court (SC) is scheduled to hear a writ petition today challenging the decision to withdraw organized crime and money laundering charges against Rabi Lamichhane, chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
The hearing will take place at a division bench of Justices Binod Sharma and Abdul Aziz Musalman. The petition challenges the decision of the Office of the Attorney General to amend the charge sheet by removing charges related to organized crime and money laundering.

Attorney General Sabita Bhandari had decided on January 14 to revise the charge sheets filed against Lamichhane in the district courts of Kaski, Kathmandu, Rupandehi, and Parsa, dropping two charges.
Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi, law student Ayush Badal and legal activist Yubaraj Poudel Safal had filed a writ petition against the decision.
Earlier, a division bench of Justices Saranga Subedi and Sunil Kumar Pokharel had ordered the relevant documents to be presented in court.
