Chief District Officer Koshari Niraula handed over an appreciation letter and Rs. 5,000 to journo Samadarshi amidst a function in Ilam on Thursday.
The award was established by district based journalists on the memory of Ashish Rai, who was the Radio Nepal correspondent, and died drowning in Maikhola river in 2059 BS.
