Nagarik journo Neupane gets ICT media award

KATHMANDU, Aug 19: Santosh Neupane, senior correspondent of Nagarik (Republica’s sister publication), has been awarded with ICT Media Recognition Award in Kathmandu on Friday. The award was handed over to Neupane by Gokul Baskota, minister for information and communication technology. The award was awarded as part of Netgear ICT award 2018.

The award was handed over to Neupane by Gokul Baskota, minister for information and communication technology. The award was awarded as part of Netgear ICT award 2018.

Among the 120 applicants on several award categories, Neupane has received this award for his contributions to the ICT sector. 


All the applicants went through month-long studies including interviews, presentations, office visit, online voting and other selection procedures. 


“ICT award is provided to journalists to promote development and expansion of the ICT sector in the country,” Rajan Lamsal, president of award committee, said. “This has created a platform that allows us to respect seniors and encourages the new generation in ICT journalism.”
