KATHMANDU, June 16: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has said it has completed its conventions in four provinces and 64 districts as part of its ongoing organisational expansion drive.
According to the latest update, the party has also concluded conventions in 609 local levels and 4,363 wards.
NC ward conventions in 13 districts today
RSP stated that conventions have been completed in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, while the Madhesh Province convention has been postponed.
Meanwhile, conventions are currently underway in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The party further said conventions could not be held in Dolpa and Humla of Karnali Province; Rukum East of Lumbini Province; Manang and Mustang of Gandaki Province; and Dhanusha, Saptari, Bara and Sarlahi of Madhesh Province.
RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti said convention processes had also begun in Sindhupalchok, Siraha, Mahottari and Rautahat but were later postponed.
The party has also stepped up preparations for its first national general convention, scheduled to be held in Chitwan on June 21, 22 and 23.
