Robber killed in police firing

LAHAN, July 20: A group of around 20 armed robbers looted property worth Rs 500,000 from the house of Kuseshwar Prasad Chaudhary in Lahan-1 of Siraha on Sunday night, the police said.



The robbers and the police exchanged firing around midnight and one of the robbers was killed in the incident. The deceased is yet to be identified, the police said.



The incident site lies 500 meters south-west of Ward Police Office, Lahan, and one km south of Armed Police Force´s Base Camp.
