At a programme organized by the Asta Ja Campaign in the capital today, Chief Secretary Poudel said the farmers need to be united to create pressure on the concerned bodies for the solution of different problems emerged in the agricultural sector.
The government has formulated a policy friendly to the agriculture; he said, adding that farmers would be provided ample fertilizers.
Professor Durga Dutt Poudel said the hurdles in the policy level should be cleared for the commercialization of the agriculture.
Constitutional expert and coffee entrepreneur Dr Chandra Kant Gyawali said only political revolution could not bring change so it is time to bring economic revolution in the country.
Chairman of the Campaign, Lok Krishna Bhattarai has said the products with rigorous efforts of farmers were not getting proper market and value.
Therefore, arranging market and fixing value of the important agro products was essential, he stressed. Improved seeds, pesticides and fertilizers were not reached to the farmers on time, he complained.
The Asta Ja Campaign has stressed the proper use and mobilization of jal (water), jamin (land), jungle, jadibuti (medicinal herbs), jarajuri (root), jalabayu (climate), and janashakti (human power).
