NOC cuts petroleum product prices

The corporation has cut the price of petrol by Rs 20 per liter, diesel by Rs 30 per liter, and cooking LPG gas by Rs 100 per cylinder.

KATHMANDU, July 1: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of petroleum products, with the new rates taking effect from 12:01 am Wednesday. The decision was made following a decline in international fuel prices.



The corporation has cut the price of petrol by Rs 20 per liter, diesel by Rs 30 per liter, and cooking LPG gas by Rs 100 per cylinder.

Under the revised rates, petrol now costs Rs 197 per litre and diesel and kerosene at Rs 195 per litre in Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal. Likewise, a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 2,060.


According to the corporation, the latest purchase prices received from Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) showed a decrease of Rs 15.09 per liter for petrol, Rs 29.46 per liter for diesel, and Rs 29.42 per liter for aviation fuel. The purchase price of LPG gas has also decreased, it said.


NOC further said the selling price of international aviation fuel for Kathmandu has been reduced by US$265 per kiloliter. In contrast, prices for Pokhara and Bhairahawa have been maintained at the breakeven point.
