Yadav is being taken abroad for treatment on the advice of doctors involved in his treatment to properly diagnose a black spot seen in his large intestine. Yadav had a regular medical check-up at the TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj on Friday and city scan at Grand Hospital at Dhapasi on Saturday, according to the president´s press advisor Rajendra Dahal.
A medical team led by Dr Shashi Sharma was involved in the treatment of President Yadav. A joint meeting of doctors involved in the treatment of President Yadav with officials from Ministry of Health decided to take him abroad for treatment.
“The president had been manifesting gastroenteritis complications. As a black spot seen in the large intestines can not be diagnosed here, preparations are under way to take him abroad. It could be Japan or any other country,” said Dahal.
Dahal said that the government has already expedited necessary bureaucratic process to fly him abroad for treatment.
