Police make public sketches of two fugitives

KATHMANDU, Sept 27: The Metropolitan Crime Division (MPCD) has made public sketches of the two fugitives, who opened fire at Indian National, Mohammad Sonahak Friday morning at Jorpati in the capital.



The preliminary investigation carried out by the MPCD officials pointed out it as an ‘organized crime.’ [break]  “Sketches of the two fugitives have been circulated at all checking points of the Kathmandu Valley,” sources at the MPCD told Republica.

An unidentified gang of two persons on a pulsar motorbike opened fire at a man at Narayantar.  The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Indian national Mohammad Sonahak of Motihari, India. The incident took place around at 8:40 am on Friday.



Sonahak has received bullets in abdomen, and on both of his legs. His treatment is underway at Maharajgunj-based TU Teaching Hospital after preliminary treatment at a local clinic, said Police Inspector Arun Bhandari of Metropolitan Police Circle, Bouddha.



Sonahak had been running a tailoring shop at Narayantar in Jorpati. The detail information and cause behind the incident is yet to be received while police are carrying out a search operation to nab the fugitives.
