PM vows elimination of corruption

KATHMANDU, May 31: Prime Minister Balendra Shah has said the government is committed to wiping out irregularities and corruption.



In response to lawmakers' queries in the House of Representatives (HoR) meeting today, PM Shah reiterated the government 's stance for good governance.

"The first year of government is the year of good governance. However, it does not mean development activities are slowed," PM Shah said, adding various bodies were under constant watch of parliament and ministers.


RSP lawmaker Kabindra Burlakoti sought the government's plan towards a good governance drive.     


PM Shah appeared in the HoR meeting today, for the lawmakers were demanding his response to their queries. 


However, some lawmakers from opposition parties drew attention toward HoR Regulation and complained of short time for question and answer.
