Amidst a special function on Sunday morning, chairman of the university handed over the certificate of honorary professor to PM Oli.
Addressing the function, PM Oli requested the varsity to step up educational co-work with Nepal.
The university leads in awarding scholarships to Nepali students in China. Some 400 Nepali students have completed their studies from the university, while some 100 others are currently studying.
On Saturday evening, PM Oli met provincial officials of Sichuan Province.
During the meeting, discussions were held on establishing Kathmandu and Chengdu as sister cities and opening Consulate General of Nepal in Chengdu.
Chinese officials assured PM Oli on assisting in increasing flow of Chinese tourists to Nepal.
PM Oli left for Kathmandu at 1:40 pm local time today.
