One dies in bus accident

NUWAKOT, Aug 13: One died, leaving another critically injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday at Nuwakot.



Suman Adhikari, 22 of Tupche Namuna-1, Dandathok died after his motorcycle (Ba 36 Pa 9112) en-route to Betravati from Trishuli hit a bus (Ba 2 Kha 6435) going towards Trishuli.



According to the District Police Office, Nuwakot, Adhikari died while undergoing treatment at the district hospital.



Pillion rider Saroj Poudel, 23 of Dandathok has been critically injured. He is undergoing treatment at the district hospital; informed Police Inspector Navaraj Malla Thakuri.



The bus driver has been absconding since the accident. Police have confiscated the bus, informed the relative of the victim Nirajan Poudel.



Relatives of the victims have demanded compensation and have disrupted the Trihuli-Betravati road section.
