KATHMANDU, March 29: Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chair K P Sharma Oli and former Home Minister and Nepali Congress (NC) leader Ramesh Lekhak are being produced before the court today.
Both Oli and Lekhak were arrested on Saturday. As courts remain closed on Saturdays, police are set to present them before the court on Sunday, seeking permission to keep them in custody for further investigation.

The Gen Z protests held on September 8 and 9 took place during the government led by UML Chair Oli.
A commission led by former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki has held Oli and Lekhak primarily responsible for the protests, which resulted in the deaths of 76 people.
Police arrested the two leaders shortly after the government decided to implement the commission’s report.
