KATHMANDU, Dec 6: Karnali Yaks have secured their first victory by defeating Chitwan Rhinos today in a match under the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Karnali Yaks defeated Chitwan Rhinos by six wickets on Friday with the help of Shikhar Dhawan’s 45 runs and Bipin Sharma’s 3 wickets.
Karnali had previously lost to Janakpur Bolts and Kathmandu Gurkhas. With this victory, Karnali broke the losing streak of two games and added 2 points.
This is the first defeat of Chitwan, who have won two consecutive matches earlier. Following Dhawan scoring 45 runs, Karnali completed the target of 131 runs by losing 3 wickets with one ball to spare in the 20-over match. Similarly, Chadwick Walton scored 30 runs and Dev Khanal scored 25 runs while Zeeshan Maqsood contributed 12 runs and remained unbeaten.
