NHRC to set up mobile camps at quake-hit districts

KATHMANDU, July 16: National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has decided to set up mobile camps at 10 earthquake-affected districts to monitor the human rights situations.



According to NHRC Spokesperson Mohana Ansari, the commission has decided to set up mobile camps since there are no effective mechanisms to monitor human rights situation in those districts.

According to Ansari, the camps will include a representative each from Nepal Bar Association, Federation of Nepali Journalists and National NGO Federation.


Likewise, two civil society members, including a woman, will also join the monitoring team.
