KATHMANDU, April 8: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday summoned and quizzed senior security officials over an incident involving forced feeding of human excreta to an elderly woman by a school principal, at Pyutar of Lalitpur district over two weeks ago.

An NHRC statement said it quizzed Home Secretary Dr Govinda Kusum, police chief Ramesh Chand Thakuri and Lalitpur Chief District Officer, among other senior officials, at its office. “The Commissioners drew the attention of the Home administration and security agencies to bring to book the perpetrator and provide relief to the victim,” said the statement.
