A delegation led by Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel comprising of central members Dilendra Prasad Badu, NP Saud, Badri Pandey, NC Chief Secretary Chinkaji Shrestha and student leader Bhupendra Jung Basnet demanded this by visiting Chairman of the Interim Election Council, Khil Raj Regmi, on Thursday morning.

Poudel said that they demanded with the government to expedite the rescue operation, construction works of damaged infrastructures and relief distribution.
He said they also demanded with the government to run relief related programmes especially by working out short-term, mid-term and long-term plans as well as to implement the plans by forming a high level team.
The delegation also familiarized IEC Chairman Regmi about the complaints raised from various quarters of Nepal and India that Darchula was flooded due to Dhauliganga Hydropower Project constructed at the border area of Nepal and India.
The delegation said that the government should hold talks with India in diplomatic level for compensation and protection as Nepalis suffered much due to the hydropower project and Nepal should also take initiative for construction on its own.
The NC urged the government to start reconstruction of the damaged infrastructures and distribution of relief by attracting international assistance.
On the occasion, Chairman Regmi said that he visited the flood- affected areas and gave word that the government would forward the works after making decisions on it by holding a cabinet meeting immediately, Poudel quoted Chairman Regmi as saying.
The NC is to launch a support campaign for relief and rescue of the flood and landslide victims by holding a meeting, it is learnt.
