After submitting the memorandum to the President, the organizations also staged a sit-in for an hour in front of Bir Hospital, where the parents of Adhikari are admitted in course of their fast-unto-death staged demanding arrest of the murderers of their son.[break]
CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel and Chief of the party´s Publicity Department Pradip Kumar Gyawali, NC Central Member Nabindra Raj Joshi and CPN-ML General Secretary CP Mainali had joined the sit-in expressing their solidarity to the demand of the agitating organizations.
Also expressing their solidarity on the occasion were human rights activists Suresh Bhatta and Rameshwar Nepal, Vice-chair of Nepal Bar Association Tikaram Bhattarai and leaders of various youth and students organizations.
Speaking following the sit-in, President of Conflict-victims Society Nepal for Justice Janak Bahadur Rawat demanded that the government immediately initiate investigation into the murder of Adhikari, and thereby save the life of the Adhikari couple.
The sit-in was organized by Conflict Victims Orphans Society Nepal, Disappeared Family National Network Nepal, Conflict Victims National Society Nepal, Badarmude Incident Victim Concern Committee, Conflict Victims Society Nepal for Justice, Conflict Victims Committee Bardia, Social Justice Committee Nepal, Conflict Victims Disabled Association, Dolakha and Nepal Maoist-Victims Association.
