KATHMANDU, Jan 3: Fog has currently covered many parts of Terai areas due to mild influence of westerly winds.
Parts of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces in the high hills and mountainous regions are partially to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will enjoy mostly clear weather.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, high hills and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces will remain partially to generally cloudy this afternoon. In contrast, other provinces will have clear weather.
Similarly, the high hills and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are expected to be partially to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will remain clear tonight.
The department has also predicted the possibility of fog on Saturday morning in many areas of the Terai and Kathmandu Valley. It has advised caution, as the fog could impact daily life, health, transportation, and air travel. All concerned parties are urged to remain alert.
