JANAKPURDHAM, Sept 9: Satish Kumar Singh, Chief Minister (CM) of Madhesh Province, resigned today. He stated that he submitted his resignation following the instructions of Janamat Party chairman Dr CK Raut.

In his statement, Singh expressed deep grief over the loss of lives during the ongoing Gen Z protests across the country. He paid tribute to the deceased and wished for the speedy recovery of those injured.

“Being elected by the trust and vote of the people was the greatest honor of my life. However, the current situation, where I could not ensure the safety of citizens, compelled me to take this decision with self-respect. I resign from the post of Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, guided by my unwavering belief that nothing is more valuable than human life, while remaining responsible towards the rights and future of the people,” Singh said.

He also emphasized that peaceful protest is a right granted to every citizen under the Constitution, and that dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation remain the only way to resolve problems.

Singh expressed heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported him during his tenure, including Dr. CK Raut and the Janamat Party’s leaders, committees, and workers, for giving him the opportunity to serve in this important role.

“Thank you. Jai Madhesh.”
