KATHMANDU, June 4: The Metropolitan Police Crime Division today arrested the gang which had looted Rs 3.2 million from Mhaipi of Kathmandu on Friday.
The looters were arrested from various six places of the Kathmandu Valley.
The police teams mobilized from the Crime Division arrested Anjan Thapa and Saroj Shrestha hailing from Dhading, while Sijan Adhikari and Santosh Bohara from Gorkha, Gyan Bahadur Puri from Gulmi and Tara Bohara from Baglung.
The police confiscated Rs 417,000; metal like fake gold, and two motorcycles, said Prakash Jung Karki, Spokesperson at the Division.
However, the mastermind of the loot, is yet to be arrested, he said, adding that investigation into the loot was underway. RSS
